That depends entirely on the upper material of your work shoes. For leather shoes, a coarse brush, water and neutral soap are essential. Leather should also be treated with wax from time to time. For textile shoes, use a clean cloth instead of a brush. Cream and wax are a no-go here. Treat shoes with a textile-leather mix according to the respective surface, ideally with a soft brush. All materials should be waterproofed regularly.
