The different classes 1–3 are used to classify the risk levels for high-visibility clothing. The risk levels depend on vehicle speed (e.g. DIN EN 20471 Class 3 > 60 km/h) and the type of road user (active/passive). The employer or the employers’ liability insurance association determines the applicable risk level for the specific application.
