Textile recycling is an important issue that we at STRAUSS are addressing.
Our workwear is designed to be particularly robust, durable and high-performance. To meet these requirements, we often use hard-wearing fabric blends as well as additional components such as coatings, reflective elements or fastenings.
At present, we do not yet offer a recycling service for used workwear through STRAUSS. The reason is that it is precisely this construction that makes recycling at the end of the product’s useful life challenging, as the individual components are difficult to separate from one another. Furthermore, workwear varies greatly depending on the area of use and is sometimes subjected to intensive wear and tear. For this reason, we are currently unable to make any blanket statements or general recommendations regarding recycling.
We are working towards being able to provide more specific recommendations for individual product categories in the future. We are also in close dialogue with textile recycling specialists to find circular solutions even for complex workwear.
Until then, we ask that you dispose of used workwear in accordance with the regulations applicable in your local area.
