Our safety footwear is divided into the following 9 protection classes
SB / S1 / S1P / S2 / S6 / S3 / S7 / S4 / S5
. Furthermore, there are 5 protection classes for occupational footwear
OB / O1 / O2 / O6 / O4
All safety footwear is subject to the EN ISO 20345 standard.
In addition, slip-resistant soles in accordance with SRA, SRB or SRC/SR, as well as a toe cap, are among the basic requirements. Safety footwear is designed for different work requirements. Depending on the safety class for which the footwear is designed, there are fundamental differences. An S5 safety shoe, for example, must be permanently waterproof, whereas an S3 safety shoe must be water-resistant for at least one hour; for an S1 safety shoe, waterproofing is not a requirement at all. There are also differences in the properties of the sole – whether regarding puncture resistance, fuel resistance or the tread pattern.
